The crowd of people who wanted to escape the city center of Guangzhou on the weekend was crowded, so they casually booked Country Garden Guangzhou Fengyue Phoenix City Hotel. Originally, they only planned to find a place to lie down for two days, but unexpectedly unlocked the vacation surprise hidden in the outskirts of the city. They didn't have to rush on the high-speed train or run far, and with just one press of the accelerator, they slipped into the slow time wrapped in the greenery of the lake.
As soon as the car entered the hotel park, the hustle and bustle of the city was separated by large green plants. Driving along Huanhu Road, the palm trees and large lawns along the way spread out, completely unlike the suburbs of Guangzhou. When checking in, the front desk lady heard that we were here for the weekend, so she smiled and took the initiative to upgrade us to a lake view room. She also handed us two hotel hot spring experience vouchers, reminding us that there were fewer people to soak in in in the evening, and the evening breeze wrapped in the fragrance of grass and wood was particularly comfortable.
The moment I pushed open the room door, I was relieved of a week's exhaustion. The space of over forty square meters was spacious and warm, with warm wooden furniture and soft lighting. There were no unnecessary fancy decorations, and every place was perfectly fitting. The french window is facing the lake outside. When the wind blows, the water ripples in the distance shake with the willows on the bank. Sitting on the cane chair beside the window, making a cup of tea, even time slows down. The most surprising thing is the convenience here, it only takes 40 minutes by car from Guangzhou city center, so you don't have to worry about traffic jams at all. The hotel has a large free parking lot with ample space, and once parked, you can directly reach the lobby. Multiple attractions in Zengcheng can be reached within a 10 minute drive, making it convenient to visit Baishuizhai and Zhengguo Old Street without having to leave early.
After staying for two days, there was no rush to take a short vacation like that. No need to rush to scenic spots, no need to crowd people, taking a walk by the lake, soaking in a hot spring, lying flat and wasting time, this is what a weekend vacation should be like.
